The Charter Township of Bloomfield is seeking a qualified Building Inspector/Plan Reviewer to review residential and commercial construction plans, conduct field inspections, and enforce Michigan Building Codes and Township Ordinances.
The role requires inspecting active permits, issuing notices of violations, preparing reports, and serving as a public liaison on codes and land use. A Michigan license within 90 days is required; 5–7 years in construction or a related degree is preferred.
Reviews construction plans as they apply to residential and commercial building sites. Conducts site inspections for code compliance required by the adopted Michigan Building Codes and Township Ordinances.
