Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years building construction trades or construction management experience.
• Wisconsin UDC inspector certifications (Building & HVAC) preferred.
• Plumbing certification preferred; all three within 1 year.
• Must renew state certifications every 4 years; CEU requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Inspections of buildings, structures, and property for compliance with codes.
• Issue permits and maintain project files for residential work.
• Review building plans to ensure code compliance for construction.
• Enforce zoning and building codes in collaboration with authorities.
• Provide customer service and communicate with architects, engineers, and the public.
