Job summary

New Jersey State League of Municipalities in Summit, NJ is seeking a Full-Time Building Inspector HHS with a minimum of 5 years’ experience. Job description

Full-Time Building Inspector HHS. Minimum 5 years’ experience. Position requires valid license as a Building Inspector issued by the NJDCA. The successful candidate will perform plan review along with a variety of duties for the city, which will include inspecting new and existing residential, commercial, and industrial buildings and structures to enforce compliance with applicable local and building codes. Hours are Monday through Friday 8am-4pm. Strong technical background and customer service skills are essential. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS – Applicants must possess a valid license as a Building Inspector (RCS), (ICS), and (HHS) (Subcode) license issued by the NJDCA. Construction Official License is preferred but not required; other DCA Licenses a plus. Successful candidate will have good communication skills in working with the public. $65,505 - $105,394.
