Qualifications

• Two years of college coursework in construction or related field, or completion of an apprenticeship; plus two years journey-level experience.
• Two years of journey-level experience in a trade, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license and relevant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect residential and non-residential buildings for code compliance.
• Perform safety and structural evaluations after disasters or complaints.
• Review plans, interpretations of codes, and issue notices of violations.
• Coordinate inspections with City departments and external agencies.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and prepare reports.
