Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is recruiting a Building Enclosure Staff Associate to join the Southwest Building Science + Infrastructure team in Austin, TX. You will support field investigations, testing, and reporting while developing foundational skills in building enclosure consulting within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include site observations, drafting CAD work, preparing field reports, and learning building codes (IBC).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering or Architecture is required.
• 0 years of related experience required.
• Certifications such as EIT or IIBEC are beneficial and noted.

Responsibilities

• Support building science & infrastructure testing, inspections, and consulting.
• Conduct site observations and inspections of roofing and enclosure systems with guidance.
• Assist with drafting or CAD work as needed.
• Develop testing protocols and document field observations.
• Prepare field reports describing findings and conditions.
• Assist with analysis of observations and test results for project conclusions.
• Learn building codes and standards (IBC and local codes).
• Contribute to project setup, proposals, and documentation for budgets.
• Communicate project updates with supervisors and teams.
• Develop client relationships and coordinate with project staff.
