Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer in Temple, TX to oversee the operation and maintenance of life safety and building systems across healthcare facilities. You will ensure fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and extinguishers function reliably while supporting security and door systems.

The role requires travel to clinics and hospitals within a 30-mile radius and a first-shift schedule (7:00AM-3:30PM, Monday–Friday).

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of life safety systems such as fire alarms and safety systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems.
• Ability to perform maintenance on mechanical, plumbing, and control systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% and work on first shift.

Responsibilities

• Oversee upkeep and repairs of life safety and related systems.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair security and door systems.
• Provide support to one hospital and five clinics within 30 miles; travel 30%+.
• Perform low-voltage electrical repairs and troubleshooting.
• Implement preventive maintenance and energy management practices.
