Job summary

ABM Building Management in Phoenix is seeking a Building Engineer to operate and maintain all heating, ventilating, and related building systems on site. You will support energy-efficient operations and preventive maintenance under Building Management guidelines.

Responsibilities include routine operation, maintenance, and repair of boilers, pumps, compressors, electrical motors, gas distribution lines, and sanitation systems, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable facility services.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and repair boilers, heaters, pumps, valves and piping.
• Maintain refrigerant systems including compressors, condensers and evaporators.
• Operate and repair pumps handling brine and secondary refrigerants.
• Maintain air compressors and air control devices.
• Maintain natural and manufactured gas distribution lines and valves.
• Maintain water filters, piping, sinks and distribution lines.
• Operate and repair electrical motors powering pumps, compressors and fans.
• Maintain fuel oil systems, pumps and tanks.
• Service sanitary sewer systems, sump pumps and piping.
• Maintain trash compactors and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain kitchen equipment.
• Maintain electrical power distribution and lighting systems.
• Ensure operation across seasonal changes and recalibrate controls.
• Follow Preventive Maintenance Program per manufacturer specs.
• Life/Safety and security systems maintenance within Engineer’s scope.
• Perform other duties as requested by Building Management.
