Job summary

United Airlines is seeking Facilities Technicians to support our Tech Ops team in maintaining and repairing building electrical systems and related equipment across airport facilities. The role requires knowledge of electrical work, wiring schematics, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Shifts include weekends and holidays, with seniority-based scheduling, and union representation. Starting rate for this role is $34.52 per hour.

Qualifications

Twenty-Four months experience in at least three areas: Electrical (including 480V, 3 phase), Structural (steel frame), HVAC (building management systems), Mechanical (conveyors), Plumbing, PLC controls.
Must have completed high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
Ability to maintain and repair all building disciplines, heavy mechanical and welding.
Work may be indoors or outside or in elevated areas anywhere on airport.
Must be able to climb and work from ladders or walk for extended periods.
Moderate lifting; possess sufficient tooling to perform tasks.
Computer experience for input and retrieval of data.
Qualified candidates must be immediately available for full time employment.
Must possess a valid, clean state driver\'s license.

Responsibilities

Maintain building electrical systems, including 110/220/480 volt single and multiphase circuitry.
Read and follow electrical wiring schematics; work without supervision.
Prepare and perform low and high voltage repairs on building equipment.
Work around the clock shifts, including weekends and holidays, outdoors in all weather.
Schedules are bid and awarded according to seniority.
Represented by the IBT; salary increases per IBT/United contract.
