Job summary

United Airlines seeks Facilities Technicians to maintain and repair building systems at Newark. You will handle electrical work, read wiring schematics, and service HVAC, plumbing and conveyors across various facilities.

Roles require the ability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays; a high school diploma or GED is required; a journeyman license is a plus. Starting rate is $34.52 per hour, with union participation and IBT dues per contract.

Qualifications

• Twenty four months experience in at least three of the listed areas.
• Must have completed high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Ability to climb, work from ladders, and lift moderately.
• Valid state driver's license and readiness for full-time employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform building maintenance with emphasis on electrical solving up to 480V.
• Read and follow wiring schematics and work without supervision.
• Repair and install 110/220/480 volt circuits and devices.
• Work around clock shifts, outdoors in all weather, including weekends.
