Job summary

Transwestern is seeking a Building Engineer in Annapolis, MD to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings and systems, inspect HVAC and plumbing, and manage repair records. You will lead repairs, coordinate with contractors, and support energy management to keep costs down.

The role requires hands-on experience in building operations, a relevant trade background, and the ability to work first shift on-site in a fast-paced real estate environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2 years related experience or trade school training.
• Minimum 3 years building maintenance experience.
• Thorough knowledge of building systems operations, maintenance and repair.
• Appropriate trade licenses/permits as required.
• Knowledge of energy management systems and operations.
• Basic skills with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong organizational and analytical skills; customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, systems, equipment, and grounds.
• Inspect fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure proper operation.
• Complete maintenance and repair records; troubleshoot and repair various building systems.
• Direct mechanics, technicians, and contractors on projects when needed.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain energy management to minimize costs.
• Maintain lighting systems and perform related repairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
