Job description

ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Building Engineer.

The Building Engineer supports the designated leadership with the daily operations of all building systems. This includes hard surface maintenance and repair, basic carpentry and metal work, operating, maintaining, and repairing all facility system equipment associated with HVAC operations and mechanical and electrical systems. The Building Engineer will also respond to customer requests, submit and close work orders as necessary, and perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $32.00 /Hour. The listed pay is a range or rate; actual offers depend on experience, skills, location, and market data.

Basic Function: The Building Engineer is qualified to operate or assist in operating all heating, ventilating, and related equipment on the assigned site.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate, maintain, and repair boilers, heaters, pumps, valves, and related systems used in steam and water distribution.
• Maintain and repair refrigeration systems, air compressors, gas lines, water systems, electrical motors, fuel oil systems, sewer systems, trash compactors, kitchen equipment, and electrical power distribution.
• Maintain seasonal operation and recalibrate controls for energy efficiency.
• Perform preventive maintenance as per manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain life/safety and security systems.
• Perform other duties as requested by Building Management.
