Job Title: UNION Mobile Building Engineer

Job Description Summary: This position supports the Assistant and/or Chief Engineer and Sr. Facilities Manager in the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all building systems and equipment on behalf of the client. The Engineer will perform routine operations, inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, and others to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Responsibilities include maintaining energy-efficient and safe equipment, minimizing downtime, performing inspections, and maintaining records. The role upholds high ethical standards as per company policies.

Job Description:

Key Relationships
  • External: Interact with the client, client staff, and vendors.
  • Internal: Collaborate with the Assistant/Chief Engineer, Sr. Facilities Manager, and other colleagues.
Job Responsibilities
  1. Ensure preventive maintenance and repair work orders are completed for all systems and equipment.
  2. Maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building interior/exterior systems.
  3. Perform major repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems as needed.
  4. Conduct inspections and report on conditions affecting operations.
  5. Operate and maintain boilers, pumps, refrigerant systems, and building automation systems.
  6. Perform general maintenance and repairs, including minor repairs on fixtures, lighting, and furniture.
  7. Manage vehicle maintenance and ensure compliance with safety and licensing requirements.
  8. Support safety protocols and emergency responses.
  9. Complete all required safety training and maintain a professional appearance.
  10. Other operational tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Physical and Environmental Conditions
  • Ability to perform physical activities, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various environments.
  • Exposure to noise, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
  • Must wear PPE as required and be able to travel between sites.
Scheduling and Other Duties

Work hours typically align with business hours; may include shift work, overtime, and emergency response. All duties are subject to change.
