Job description

ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Building Engineer.

The Building Engineer supports the designated leadership with the daily operations of all building systems. This includes hard surface maintenance and repair, basic carpentry and metal work, operating, maintaining, and repairing all facility system equipment associated with HVAC operations and mechanical and electrical systems. The Building Engineer will also respond to customer requests, submit and close work orders as necessary, and perform other duties as assigned.

The Company may require that the successful candidate be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, if permitted by law, with exceptions for medical, religious, or other legally required reasons.

Pay: $32.00 / Hour — The pay listed is the hourly rate for this position. The specific offer will vary based on experience, skills, abilities, location, and market data.

BASIC FUNCTION

• The Building Engineer is qualified to operate or assist in operating all heating and ventilating equipment, engines, turbines, motors, pumps, air compressors, ice and refrigerating machines, air conditioning units, fans, and siphons on the assigned site.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate, maintain, and repair boilers, heaters, pumps, valves, and lines used in steam and water distribution.
• Maintain and repair refrigerant systems, including compressors, condensers, and evaporators.
• Handle secondary refrigerating liquids and associated systems.
• Maintain and repair air compressors, natural and manufactured gas lines, water systems, electrical motors, fuel oil systems, sewer systems, trash compactors, kitchen equipment, electrical power distribution, and auxiliaries.
• Perform seasonal recalibrations for energy efficiency and maintain all equipment as per the Preventive Maintenance Program.
• Maintain life/safety and security systems as applicable.
• Perform other duties as requested by Building Management.

$32 - $32 an hour
