Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Building Engineer to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of our commercial properties in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building systems and a commitment to providing exceptional service to tenants and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
· System Maintenance: Operate, maintain, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
· Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
· Tenant Services: Respond promptly to tenant service requests, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and professionally.
· Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
· Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
· Compliance: Ensure all building operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and environmental standards.
· Emergency Response: Act as a first responder to building emergencies, coordinating with appropriate personnel and services as needed.
Qualifications:
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating and maintaining HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
· Certifications: EPA Universal Certification required; additional certifications (e.g., CFC, LEED) are a plus.
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or associate degree in a related field preferred.
· Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with tenants, vendors, and team members.
· Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions promptly.
