Jamestown is recruiting for a Building Engineer for the mixed-use property, Ponce City Market.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Building Engineer is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs to ensure the effective operation of the property and its systems. Responsibilities include adhering to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is thorough, committed to system upkeep, and supports the property team.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in building maintenance or equivalent training/certification.
• Trade school degree in HVAC, electronics, or related field is preferred; military technical training is equivalent.

Key Duties

• Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs.
• Inspect and test equipment.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintain property appearance.
• Respond to unscheduled maintenance issues.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies.
• Conduct inspections and document findings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Tools and Equipment

Ladders, lifts, hand tools, multi-meter, airflow meter, pressure gauges, drain auger, safety gear, and fire extinguishers.

Skills and Knowledge

Knowledge of building maintenance, including HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, and safety procedures.
