Job summary

The ideal candidate will review enclosure assemblies, analyze air infiltration, water intrusion and energy performance, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on high-performance building projects in the DC area.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years’ experience in building enclosure design, review, and assessments.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) is required.
• Experience with exterior wall, below-grade waterproofing, and roofing assemblies.
• Understanding of building science and performance modeling; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design new enclosure systems and repairs for existing enclosure systems.
• Review enclosure systems for new construction, renovation, and restoration projects.
• Investigate and determine service life of building enclosure assemblies.
• Perform enclosure review to assess air infiltration, rain water control, heat transfer, and vapor transmission.
• Conduct building performance analysis including daylighting, solar heat gain, and energy transfer in holistic enclosure integration.
