Job summary

Steven Winter Associates, Inc. (SWA) seeks a Building Enclosure Consultant to contribute to its enclosure consulting team in New York and Connecticut. The role involves assessing existing enclosures, reviewing drawings, and providing specifications for cladding and moisture/thermal management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5-8+ years of direct experience in building enclosure systems.
• Experience with new and existing construction.
• Experience with thermal and moisture management systems.
• Familiarity with Passive House or related certification programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform enclosure condition assessments and reporting.
• Review and mark-up drawings from schematic design to CDs.
• Develop preliminary specifications for cladding, water-management, air-barrier and thermal systems.
• Develop enclosure sketches including waterproofing and air barriers.
• Attend design meetings and support the project team.
• Conduct site inspections and issue field reports.
