Steven Winter Associates, Inc. (SWA) is seeking a Building Enclosure Consultant to join its growing enclosure team in New York and Connecticut. The ideal candidate has a strong background in high-performance buildings, specifically building enclosure systems, with 5–8+ years of relevant experience.

You will review drawings, develop enclosure details, and support design teams across projects, focusing on durable and resilient building envelopes for new construction and renovations.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5-8+ years of relevant & direct experience in building enclosure systems.
• Experience with new and existing construction.
• Experience with thermal and moisture management systems.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Bluebeam is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Perform existing building enclosure condition assessments and reporting.
• Review and mark-up architectural drawings throughout the design process, from schematic design to CDs.
• Provide preliminary specifications for cladding, water-management, air-barrier, and thermal systems.
• Develop sketch details for enclosure systems, including waterproofing, air-barriers, thermal-barriers, and cladding.
• Attend design meetings and provide on-going support to the entire project team.
• Perform site inspections, prepare and issue site inspection field reports.
• Perform analyses during design phases and diagnostic testing during construction phases.
• Review construction administration submittals and shop drawings.
• Assist the SWA team in project management and support day-to-day operations.
• Communicate effectively and promptly with colleagues, clients, and project teams via email, teleconference, and telephone.
