Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Columbus, OH is seeking a Building Enclosure Staff Associate to join our Midwest Building Science + Infrastructure team. You will support building enclosure consulting projects and develop foundational skills in field investigations, testing, technical analysis, and report preparation.

You will work with experienced consultants and multidisciplinary project teams to evaluate building envelope performance across diverse facility types, gaining hands-on field experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering.
• 0–2 years of related experience.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or IIBEC certifications are a plus.
• Ability to interpret drawings and site plans.

Responsibilities

• Support testing, inspections, and consulting services.
• Conduct site observations of roofing and enclosure systems.
• Assist with drafting or CAD work as needed.
• Document field observations and prepare field reports.
• Develop familiarity with IBC and local codes.
• Assist with proposals, invoices, and budgets.
