Job summary

ECS is seeking a Building Enclosure Assistant Staff Associate in Fredericksburg, VA to support building enclosure consulting projects, gain hands-on field experience, and develop skills in testing, analysis, and reporting. You will work with experienced consultants and multidisciplinary teams to evaluate building envelope performance and support construction quality.

Responsibilities include field testing, documenting observations, preparing reports, and coordinating with staff and contractors

Qualifications

• Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Architecture (NCARB), Civil (Structural) Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.
• 0-2 years of related experience.
• Certifications may be required (EIT or IIBEC certifications).

Responsibilities

• Perform building science and infrastructure related testing and consulting services.
• Assist with specialized building enclosure testing.
• Document QA observations and prepare field reports.
• Interact with contractors and site personnel daily.
• Attend project meetings with senior staff as requested.
