Job summary

Pepco Holdings is seeking an electrician helper to perform moderately complex electrical tasks and assist higher-level electricians in maintenance, repair and installation of electrical systems within facilities.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, testing components, and supporting seasonal installations while following safety policies and lockout/tagout procedures. Candidates should have a HS diploma and 2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and follow safety procedures.
• Demonstrates ability to use electrical tools safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior electricians in installing, repairing, and replacing wiring, lighting fixtures, circuits, and switches.
• Inspect, test, and repair electrical components in HVAC systems and fire alarm systems.
• Perform maintenance to prevent equipment failures and ensure safety compliance.
