Job summary

Atoms is a builder and operator of physical automation businesses. As Building Design Manager in the New York region, you will own the building design process across multiple concurrent projects, from test-fit through construction documentation, coordinating AEORs to deliver on-brand, prototype designs ready to build.

You will collaborate with Real Estate & Construction, Structural Engineering, Construction, and Acquisitions to ensure facilities meet standards and scale across markets.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in architecture, building design, or management.
• Experience managing AEOR/consultant relationships across multiple projects.
• Hands-on with test-fit and schematic modeling/drawing.
• Coordination of advanced building systems and QA/QC across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Own building design process from concept through delivery of buildable designs.
• Manage AEOR relationships, scope, and performance across multiple projects.
• Lead test-fitting and schematic modeling/drawing for new sites.
• Coordinate building systems across design disciplines for alignment.
• Oversee due diligence during site acquisition and feasibility.
• Document regional design standards and prototype variations.
• Coordinate consultant process and track performance.
• Perform QA/QC of internal drawings and prototype compliance.
• Ensure aesthetics, signage, and brand intent align with Atoms portfolio.
