Job summary

Diamondback Energy, Inc. is seeking a Building & Corporate Services Technician to support our facilities with hands-on maintenance, minor construction, and meeting preparations.

The role requires a hands-on mindset, strong mechanical aptitude, and clear communication with employees and vendors. The technician will oversee vendors, obtain materials, perform routine maintenance, and assist with preventive tasks including HVAC and building automation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • At least one year of hands-on experience in building maintenance, construction, mechanical, or related technical work.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, painting, drywall, and related systems.
  • Ability to safely and effectively operate common hand and power tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets Company vehicle and insurance requirements.
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; climb ladders; work at varying heights; and safely perform other physically demanding maintenance activities.
  • Customer-service orientation with the ability to build effective working relationships and communicate professionally with employees, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain maintenance needs, recommendations, and decisions.
  • Availability to participate in a rotational on-call schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary contact for any building maintenance inquiries such as minor plumbing issues, minor electrical issues, renovations, office furniture repair, construction, and replacement.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance activities and minor repairs including commercial HVAC systems, building automation systems, and other facility infrastructure.
  • Communicate with facilities management about any work that requires outside vendor or specialized contractor support.
  • Leverage experience to thoughtfully recommend facilities solutions and approaches that add value for the Company.
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with Human Resources, Safety and Security, and other teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage responsibilities, maintain accountability and deliver quality results
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other common business applications
