Job summary

The city of Oakdale seeks a Building Code Compliance Coordinator to join its Building and Code Safety Division. Ideal candidates will possess a Certified MN Building Official License, or be willing to obtain one within the first year of employment, and have a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Job description

Oakdale is looking forward to welcoming its next team member in our Building and Code Safety Division.

The successful candidate will enforce provisions of the International Property Maintenance Code and related codes and ordinances of all residential and commercial properties, assist with matters relating to rental housing, illegal signage, foreclosed properties, and vacant structures. The ability to use tact and knowledge of the code to ensure safe building standards are met, code compliance is ensured, and have their Certified MN Building Official License or will obtain within 12 months of employment are also required.
