Special Inspectors with Certification

Objective Responsibility:

Perform Special Inspections to verify compliance with design documents and NYC Building Code requirements.

Duties:

Visit construction sites to review work in progress, inspect materials, and check the method of installation. Document field inspection findings for steel, masonry, soil, etc. Review drawings and submittals for conformance with project requirements. Complete field observations at appropriate intervals to review status and compliance of installed work. Report of all Field Inspection observations should be done in a timely manner, same day or day after, and provide quality and clarity to all end users to allow them to rectify any non-conformance expeditiously. Manage and track non-compliance items and ensures completion through coordination with contractors, design professionals and stakeholders.

When not on Field Inspections you will be expected to assist with project and operational work that may involve research, compliance, plan review, estimating etc. Crosscheck believes in using technology and personal interaction to provide a unique and positive experience for its clients and you will be expected to play a role in this mission

Desired Experience:

• 1+ years with field inspection experience for an exceptional candidate, or
• 3+ years field inspection experience with ICC, AWS-CWI or ACI Certifications
• ICC or AWS Welding certification desired
• Professional Engineers (PE) are desired: Civil Structural or Mechanical
• Registered Architects (RA) are encouraged to apply
• EIT certified are encouraged to apply
• Experience with MS Office, PlanGrid / AutoDesk Build, and Salesforce are a plus.
