Job summary

ESS is seeking a Substitute Teacher for Freeport Middle School in Sarver, PA, to provide classroom instruction when the regular teacher is absent.

This Building Based Teacher position runs five days a week under the ESS program, uses lesson plans, maintains a safe, productive classroom, and supports student learning.

Candidates must meet PA teaching certification requirements and clear relevant background checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or PA teaching certification required.
• Clearances and trainings as per PA requirements (Act 24, 34, 114, 126, 151, 71, 168, TB Test).
• Experience in K-12 classroom setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while regular teacher is absent
• Review and implement regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives
• Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
• Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration
• Perform other duties as directed by school administration
