Job summary

ESS in Newville, PA is seeking a Substitute Teacher to support daily instruction in the Big Spring School District. You will follow lesson plans, assist students, and maintain classroom routines in the absence of a regular teacher.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education-related field.
• PA teaching certification or Act 86 eligibility.
• Clearances: Act 24 arrest/certification, Act 34, Act 114.
• Act 126 mandated reporter training, Act 151 clearance.
• Act 71 suicide prevention training, Act 168 disclosure release.
• TB test/physical as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while regular teacher is absent.
• Review and implement regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives.
• Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
• Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration.
• Perform other duties as directed by school administration
