Job summary

Afognak Native Corporation in Pensacola, FL is seeking an Automation Controls Specialist I to support HVAC/R and building automation systems on Naval Air Station property. You will troubleshoot, commission, and service control systems, interfacing with customers and contractors to ensure project success.

Responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctions, coordinating with service managers and subcontractors, and working in varied environments, including heights and confined spaces.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of HVAC/R and electrical systems; diagnose, repair, and maintain.
• Experience with building automation systems and protocol knowledge (BACNET/LON/MODBUS).
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics; safety with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electronic control system malfunctions.
• Manage assigned work to meet professional execution, time, and customer satisfaction standards.
• Report problems or changes to management immediately.
• Interface with Service Manager, Service Project Manager, and subcontractors to coordinate activities professionally.
• Work in various environments and conditions (heights, confined spaces, outdoors).
• Collaborate in a team to support customer needs.
• Adhere to project timelines and processes.
