Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Building Management Control System (BMCS) Technician to monitor, operate, test, and maintain building automation systems across mission-critical facilities. The role emphasizes BACnet protocols and integration with Distech, Struxureware (EcoStruxure), and TAC i-net platforms.

Strong problem-solving and safety practices are essential for this critical position. Responsibilities include responding to service calls, coordinating with management, and implementing maintenance

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED with 3+ years of experience.
• Read and interpret technical documentation including sequence of operations, product literature, and specifications.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic communications wiring, control logic wiring and end devices.
• Knowledge of building mechanical and electrical equipment functions and HVAC systems controls applications.
• Ability to work at a computer terminal with mouse and keyboard for extended periods.
• Knowledge of network topologies and safety protocols; able to follow PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, test, and perform installation and corrective maintenance on the Building Automation System (BAS).
• Respond to tenant calls, alarms, and work orders; coordinate with BAS Manager and Lab Ventilation Manager.
• Back up application software, configure parameters, and test control components; document results.
• Set up alarms for optimal efficiency and respond to system faults.
• Develop and maintain maintenance programs and long-term service strategies.
• Record faults and emergencies and protect occupants and property.
