Job summary

M.C. Dean, Building Intelligence, is seeking a Technical Specialist to lead development, implementation, and testing of BMS, EPMS, SCADA, and ICS systems. Expect complex integrations, commissioning, and active on-site work across projects.

You will contribute to safe, effective startup and operation of critical power and control systems, with travel as needed to customer sites locally, regionally, and nationally.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with installation, troubleshooting and/or testing of EPMS, BMS, and SCADA systems.
• 8+ years of experience with a High School Diploma or 6+ years with an Associate's.
• Requires reliable attendance at customer site during work hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, implementation, and maintenance of complex BMS/EPMS/SCADA systems.
• Perform basic TCP/IP configuration and troubleshoot communication links.
• Configure Modbus Gateway devices and troubleshoot using related applications.
• Configure vendor equipment like meters, PDUs, ATS, Generators, and UPS systems.
• Navigate EPMS/SCADA applications for monitoring, trending, and data retrieval.
• Assist in commissioning, testing, and documentation of systems.
• Review supplier documentation for specifications compliance.
• Prepare simple electrical sketches and data sheets.
• Perform basic calculations related to electrical and mechanical systems.
• Manage startup progress and issue logs in CX Allow and other tools.
• Write startup scripts for EPMS/BMS/ICS systems.
