Job summary

Convergentz, a division of Hunton Group, is seeking a Building Automation Systems (BAS) Installation Team Leader to lead daily field activities and provide hands-on support for installation, commissioning, and startup of BAS and HVAC control systems.

The role requires strong communication, field leadership, and a solid background in BAS controls with wiring and control device experience. Travel locally and safety-focused work on construction sites are expected.

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with BAS installation and HVAC controls.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
• Safety-conscious with ability to work on construction sites.
• Valid driver''s license and ability to travel locally.
• Four or more years in BAS installation or related roles with leadership/coordination.

Responsibilities

• Leads daily BAS installation activities and provides hands-on field support.
• Uses blueprints, control drawings, and specifications to install, troubleshoot, test, and support startup of HVAC control systems.
• Examines layouts, anticipates field challenges, and coordinates labor and materials.
• Prioritizes work, monitors progress, and communicates field status.
• Promotes job-site safety and proper use of tools and PPE.
• Completes daily reports, redlines, material records, and project documentation.
• Supports point-to-point checkout, startup, and commissioning; mentors installers.
