Job summary

Convergentz, a division of Hunton Group in Houston, TX, seeks a Building Automation System (BAS) Controls SME to drive design, sales, and application of BAS solutions for commercial and industrial buildings.

You will engage with engineers, architects, contractors, and owners, develop quotes, deliver formal presentations, and train customer teams while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 3+ years of sales experience in HVAC/related industry preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction plans and contract documents.

Selected candidate will be a technical sales consultant to engineers, architects, contractors and owners/developers in the design, application, and sales of Building Automation System solutions for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.Come work for an industry leader that has been recognized both locally and nationally as one of the Top Places to Work!ResponsibilitiesDesigns and sells integrated Building Automation Systems.Collects, organizes, and assembles data for reports, presentations and/or special projects.Responds to customer needs by identifying systems, products, generating quotes and closing orders.Communicates order changes to customers.Develops multiple relationships with key players in the customer's organization, including project managers, project engineers, construction, financial, and purchasing personnel.Assists customers in answering technical questions on HVAC systems, Trane products, and system application alternative, BAS, installation, operation, maintenance, and problem resolution.Conducts price estimates and quotations for projects.Conducts customer visits and customer events to build relationships with key accounts.Monitors and tracks quoted projects and current orders.Manages plan and specification takeoffs, selection, pricing, and bidding.Conducts formal presentations and training sessions with customer groups.Observes the Trane Company's conditions and business conduct policies when securing business in the marketplace.Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.Frequent travel requirements with some overnight travel.QualificationsExcellent written and oral communication skills.Excellent customer service skills.Strong presentation skills.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.Knowledge in fire alarm, electronics, and system applications software preferred.Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.Able to travel locally as required.Education and/or Experience RequiredBachelor's degree from four-year College or University.3+ years of experience in a Sales position, preferably HVAC/industry related.
