Job summary

Lee Company seeks a BAS Integrator to document and program HVAC and process control systems. You will build and commission BAS projects, train facility operators, and integrate disparate systems into a single platform.

Qualified candidates will have BAS protocol knowledge, HVAC electrical troubleshooting skills, and proficiency in IT networks and AutoCad. Siemens, Honeywell, or Trane BAS certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or higher required.
  • Installation & Commissioning Interoperability of systems is required.
  • HVAC electrical troubleshooting experience or equivalent.
  • AX Certified or equivalent credential preferred.
  • BAS Advanced Applications experience beneficial.
  • Experience in IT networks required.

Responsibilities

Job description

BAS Integrator is responsible for the documentation and software programming for all types of HVAC and process control systems. This position is also responsible for building automation system commissioning and training for facility operators. BAS Integrator is responsible for the integration of multiple facility systems into one platform. BAS Integrator will work with communication protocols that include but not limited to, BACnet MSTP, Echelon, Modbus, BACnet IP, and Scada.

Education and Experience:

  • Required is a HS diploma or greater
  • Installation & Commissioning Interoperability of systems, or equivalent
  • HVAC Electrical Troubleshooting, or equivalent
  • AX Certified, or equivalent
  • BAS Advanced Applications
  • Experience in IT networks

Skills and Abilities:

  • BAS Protocols - Develops an understanding of BAS communication protocols
  • Electrical Knowledge - Has an in depth understanding of Ohm's Law and electrical circuits
  • Blueprints - Understands the basic concepts of blueprints and schematic drawings
  • HVAC Systems - Develops basic understanding of HVAC systems and components
  • Hydronic Systems - Understands the basics of chilled, condenser and hot water systems
  • Air Side Systems - Understands the basics of variable and constant volume air flows.
  • Certifications - Possesses Siemens, Honeywell and/or Trane BAS certifications
  • Variable Frequency Drives - Understands concepts of VFD's and the ability to perform operational function checks
  • Test and Balance - Understands the basic concepts of Test and Balance procedures
  • Computer Skills - Possesses basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office products
  • Valves & Actuators - Ability to identify, size and create valve and actuator schedules
  • Building Automation Systems - Ability to download and adjust BAS programs. Perform functional checks of mechanical systems
  • IT Networks - Understand the basics of IT networks to include networking and configuration of systems
  • Design Software - Working knowledge of AutoCad
  • Control Signals - Understands types and capabilities of differing control signals
  • Scope - Understands and possesses ability to develop scope of work
  • Analytical - Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data

  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Windows operating system as well as BAS engineering software. Individual must also have a strong understanding of IT networks and protocols. Integrator must also have an understanding of Microsoft SQL servers.
