Job summary

Lee Company seeks an FM2 BAS Integrator to program, maintain, troubleshoot, and document HVAC control systems, and to commission and train facility operators. The role supports integration of multiple facility systems and works with BACnet MS/TP & IP, Echelon, Modbus, and Zigbee protocols.

Required are a HS diploma or higher, and familiarity with BAS networking and AutoCAD; Tridium Niagara AX/N4 certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or higher and interoperability experience in installation/commissioning or equivalent.
• Niagara AX/N4 certification or BASAdvanced Applications experience is required.
• Strong IT networking understanding is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Program, maintain, troubleshoot and document HVAC control systems.
• Commission building automation systems and provide operator training and technical support.
• Support integration of multiple facility systems across protocols (BACnet MS/TP & IP, Modbus, Zigbee).
• Develop scope of work and perform functional checks of mechanical systems.

Job description

Summary of Job: The FM2 BAS Integrator is responsible for the software programming, maintenance, troubleshooting and documentation for all types of HVAC control systems, as well as building automation system commissioning, training and technical support for facility operators. FM2 BAS Integrator is responsible for facilitating and supporting the integration of multiple facility systems. FM2 BAS Integrator will work with communication protocols including, but not limited to, BACnet MS/TP & IP, Echelon, Modbus, and Zigbee.

Education and Experience

Required is a HS diploma or greater Installation & Commissioning Interoperability of systems, or equivalent HVAC Electrical Troubleshooting, or equivalent Tridium Niagara AX/N4 Certified, or equivalent BAS Advanced Applications Experience in IT networks.

Skills and Abilities

• BAS Protocols - Develops an understanding of BAS communication protocols
• Electrical Knowledge – Has an in depth understanding of Ohm’s Law and electrical circuits
• Blueprints - Understands the basic concepts of blueprints and schematic drawings
• HVAC Systems – Develops basic understanding of HVAC systems and components
• Hydronic Systems – Understands the basics of chilled, condenser and hot water systems
• Air Side Systems – Understands the basics of variable and constant volume air flows.
• Certifications – Possesses Siemens, Honeywell and/or Trane BAS certifications
• Variable Frequency Drives – Understands concepts of VFD’s and the ability to perform operational function checks
• Test and Balance – Understands the basic concepts of Test and Balance procedures
• Computer Skills – Possesses basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office products
• Valves & Actuators – Ability to identify, size and create valve and actuator schedules
• Building Automation Systems – Ability to download and adjust BAS programs. Perform functional checks of mechanical systems
• IT Networks – Understand the basics of IT networks to include networking and configuration of systems
• Design Software – Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Control Signals – Understands types and capabilities of differing control signals
• Scope – Understands and possesses ability to develop scope of work

• Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Windows operating system as well as BAS engineering software. Individual must also have a strong understanding of IT networks and protocols. Integrator must also have an understanding of Microsoft SQL servers.
