Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Technology Solutions Engineer for the Energy WW division in Seattle, WA to advance building automation and energy management initiatives. You will advise owners on maximizing BAS performance, optimize data throughput, and ensure stable architectures to support healthcare, higher education and K-12 facilities.

Ideal candidates bring a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent, 5–7+ years BAS/controls experience, strong project management and IT troubleshooting skills, and

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent built environment experience.
• 5–7+ years of BAS/controls experience.
• Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS user.
• Excellent controls project management and people skills.
• Understanding of building efficiency and design principles.
• Familiarity with IT troubleshooting in support of BAS networks.
• Certification or experience in Metasys, Alerton, AX, N4, Niagara, Distech, and BACnet strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise owners on maximizing building automation systems to support occupant comfort and energy efficiency.
• Leverage knowledge of BAS networks to maximize data throughput in remodels.
• Ensure stable architectures to support healthcare, higher education and K-12 facilities.
