Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Project Manager for our Laurel, MD operations serving the greater DC area. You will coordinate and deliver multiple building automation projects in hospitals, universities, and industrial facilities, with oversight of schedules, procurement, and billing coordination.

Responsibilities include reviewing specifications, contracting subcontractors, orienting technicians, tracking progress, and pursuing change orders while maintaining safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or state-recognized GED
• 1+ years of project management, engineering internship, HVAC controls, building automation, construction, mechanical systems, or related technical industry experience.
• HVAC industry applications; must read and understand MEP drawings, specs, and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams; prior exposure to Ethernet, Modbus, and BACnet
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
• Must be 21+ and have a valid driver's license; eligible for Siemens' fleet vehicle program
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Evaluate project specifications and establish comprehensive schedules with the team, identifying crucial installation timelines
• Oversee procurement of supplies and participate in project cost reviews for financial efficiency
• Assist in contracting subcontractors, coordinating activities to align with scope, schedules, and fiscal requirements while ensuring safety
• Conduct orientations for project technicians with scope of work, diagrams, and project contacts
• Track resources and progress, document schedule impacts, and pursue change orders
• Manage billing coordination with accounting and schedule commissioning resources for timely close-out
