Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Service Specialist in Pelham, AL to support building automation systems and service operations. You will handle service agreements, respond to emergency and on-site calls, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, energy-efficient solutions.

This role requires safety-conscious execution, hands-on repair skills, and the ability to document work and train customer personnel. Flexibility for on-call and travel is expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment.
• Electro-mechanical experience and PC/software skills.
• Willing to work in varied environments, climbing ladders, ducts, etc.
• Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds unassisted.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be 18+.
• Legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED plus any specialized training/certifications.
• 1+ year installing/servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment.
• Knowledge of building automation systems, PLCs, HVAC, electrical concepts.
• Engineering and programming (PLC or BMS) background.
• Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP.

Responsibilities

• Execute digitalization and standard service operations strategies.
• Collaborate with Service Sales, Client Service Managers, Service Coordinators, and RAM Digital Service Center staff.
• Follow safety requirements and complete mandated training.
• Maintain tools and test equipment and follow maintenance schedules.
• Support after-hours on-call rotations and respond to service calls.
• Perform repairs on all automation system types as directed.
• Document service tickets and generate required reports.
• Provide customer training on system operations.
• Identify discrepancies and suggest upgrade opportunities, assist in pricing repairs.
• Travel as needed and participate in job-site turnover and final walkthroughs.
