Job summary

Harris is seeking a BA Installation Specialist II to install electrical wiring and controls for building automation systems. This hands-on role turns project plans into complete, safe installations while expanding technical knowledge and mentoring entry-level teammates.

You will plan routes, install conduit, test circuits, and verify system performance using meters and analyzers. Strong safety focus and codes adherence are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of electrical field experience or training.
• At least 2 years of experience using electrical test equipment, including multimeters and digital analyzers.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, specifications, submittals, and manuals.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, PLCs, VFDs, and automation controls.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work safely on active job sites and follow installation standards and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Plan wiring routes from project drawings and specs.
• Install conduit, cable, and control components; test circuits.
• Coordinate with project leadership to resolve field issues.
• Maintain documentation for as-built records, labor and material requests.
• Mentor entry-level installation specialists and share knowledge.
