Job summary

Harris Companies is seeking a Building Automation Lead Installer to install, support, and troubleshoot advanced building automation systems on commercial projects. You will read plans, collaborate with project teams, and mentor junior installers to ensure safe, high‑quality, and timely delivery.

You will coordinate materials, participate in testing and commissioning, and uphold strong safety and workmanship standards across projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ~5+ years of experience working with electrical, mechanical, controls, or building automation systems.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of electrical installation practices, building codes, and industry standards.
• Experience using test equipment such as multimeters and digital analyzers.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and support building automation systems on commercial projects.
• Review project documents, drawings, and specifications to support successful execution.
• Coordinate materials and equipment needs with project teams.
• Assist with testing, verification, and commissioning support activities.
• Mentor and support Building Automation Installers at earlier career levels.
