Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Service Specialist at our Sandy, UT location to perform building automation system maintenance, project work, and on-call service. You will be the face of Siemens, helping customers save energy and operate safer, more sustainable environments.

The role involves executing standard service operations, coordinating with internal teams, following safety policies, maintaining documentation, and providing training to customer personnel.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in preventive maintenance and diagnostics for level II; 3+ years for senior level.
• Experience with BACnet, Modbus, and TCP/IP networking.
• Knowledge of engineering concepts, programming, start-up and checkout.
• Ability to work in varied environments including climbs and confined spaces.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Execute digitalization and standard service operations strategies
• Work with internal service teams including Service Sales, Client Service Managers, Service Coordinators, RAM Digital Service Center personnel
• Follow safety requirements as outlined by Siemens and customers; complete assigned training
• Maintain tools and test equipment; coordinate with contractors on job sites
• Support after hours during on-call rotation; respond to service calls and perform repairs on all automation system types
• Complete service ticket documentation and follow preventive maintenance schedules
• Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper system operations; assist with training
• Identify and report system discrepancies; suggest upgrade opportunities; assist in pricing repairs and upgrades
• Participate in job site final walk and turnover for systems-to-service handoff
• Develop strong relationships with customers; identify needs and resolve issues
• Work overtime as needed; possible overnight travel; work on-call rotations
• Use Siemens technology and devices; work remotely; quote deficiency repairs and manage deadlines
