SSC Services for Education is seeking a Facilities Systems Technician for the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. This full-time role involves learning and supporting building automation, HVAC controls, BAS field devices, and related monitoring systems under the direction of senior engineers.

Candidates should have prior facility systems experience; the position offers a fixed pay rate of $15.30 per hour, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for training and growth.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical/electronics experience.
• Ability to learn quickly and apply practical skills.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand/power tools.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Microsoft).

Responsibilities

• Develops working knowledge of electronic control systems, HVAC, and BAS field devices.
• Participates in investigation, installation, and maintenance of BAS field devices and related monitoring systems.
• Supports BAS/BACnet systems including Fire Alarm, Elevator, and related monitoring.
• Provides field support and guidance during troubleshooting BAS devices and related hardware.
• Acts as liaison between facilities maintenance and controls engineering staff and communicates with customers and vendors.
