Qualifications
- Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
- Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
- Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.
Responsibilities
- Assists in making decisions on repairs; reports major problems to supervision.
- Maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems and related facilities components.
- Cleans, services, and diagnoses HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems and related equipment.
- Supervises and leads a team on projects; reads and transmits detailed instructions.
- Teaches advanced maintenance skills to department members; reviews work of outside vendors.
