Job summary

BH Management is seeking a Service Technician BTR to oversee maintenance and make-readies at Build to Rent properties. You will handle preventive maintenance, repairs, and renovations across multiple sites, coordinating with site leadership and the service team.

The role requires a minimum of one year in maintenance with HVAC experience, OSHA awareness, and the ability to travel to several communities. A toolbox and on-site dedication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of general maintenance, safety, and HVAC experience.
• Basic OSHA safety knowledge and compliance.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must provide own industry-specific hand tools.
• Ability to travel to multiple work locations.

Responsibilities

• Use service request system to schedule and prioritize daily work in collaboration with the Community Manager BTR and Service Manager BTR.
• Perform repairs/replacements across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and common areas.
• Monitor completion of service requests and minimize callbacks to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Follow BH policies and procedures and implement preventive maintenance programs per guidelines.
• Exercise independent judgment under stress to meet deadlines and manage workload.
• Assist with move-in/move-out reports with the maintenance team.
• Complete work per schedule and advise on major expenses before acting.
• Report completed units to the Community Manager BTR when ready to show.
• Identify and correct hazardous conditions and report hazards promptly.
