Glydways is seeking a Software Engineer (Build Infrastructure) to own the build foundation for our Bazel monorepo. You will ensure fast, hermetic builds across C++, Python, and Go, and scale them with remote caching and remote build execution.

This is a remote US-based role with collaboration across teams involved in the Developer Platform. You will upgrade Bazel and toolchains, support CI/CD with Buildkite, and build dashboards to monitor build health and performance, while contributing to

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience maintaining Bazel or similar monorepo build systems.
• Experience with remote caching and remote execution tools.
• Strong knowledge of build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and related tooling.
• Proficiency with C++ build toolchains and cross-compilation.
• Familiarity with Python or Go tooling in production environments.

Responsabilités

• Roll out remote build execution and improve cache hit rates across CI and developer machines.
• Profile and reduce build/test times in the monorepo ensuring hermetic builds.
• Upgrade and maintain Bazel, rulesets, and external dependencies.
• Support C++ toolchains and cross-compilation for embedded targets.
• Build dashboards/alerts for build health, flaky tests, and CI performance.
• Collaborate with software teams to improve the CI system using AWS/Buildkite.
