Job summary

Hadrian is seeking a Build Engineer, Large Scale Machining to own how our largest machined parts are made, from design review through qualification and ramp to production. You will define the build flow, determine machining processes, and coordinate with Design, Supply Chain, Capability Engineering, Tooling, Quality, and Operations.

This hands-on role sits on the Build Engineering Commodities team and requires on-site work at our factory.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in build/manufacturing or production engineering with ownership of large machined parts (2 m+).
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Interpreting product requirements from customer specs and translating to build requirements.
• Strong GD&T and tolerance-stack capability across multi-setup parts with robust datum strategy.

Responsibilities

• Define machining requirements and inspection needs from customer drawings and contracts.
• Own end-to-end machining route from roughing to inspection.
• Set up datums, match-machining, and part flow through the factory.
• Collaborate with Design, Supply Chain, Capability Engineering, Tooling, QA, and Operations.
• Develop and hand off manufacturing processes to Capability Engineering on time.
• Provide setup sheets and datum schemes to CNC programming.
• Maintain BOMs, work orders, and manufacturing instructions in PLM/ERP/MES.
