Job summary

Monarch Casino Resort Spa Black Hawk is seeking a Buffet Restaurant Shift Manager to oversee guest service, staff supervision, and daily operations in a high-volume dining setting. This full-time role requires coordinating interviewing, scheduling, and team meetings while ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

You will lead service with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and hospitality, working with other supervisors to maintain a smooth dining environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year previous F&B Supervision/Management experience in FOH operations or relevant hospitality degree.
• Must evaluate practices, identify conflicts, and improve methods to enhance guest experience.
• Mediates conflicts with good judgment, tact and initiative according to policy.
• Capable of gathering internal/external information to support company objectives.
• Understand and apply sales techniques to drive guest engagement and repeat business.
• Able to read, understand and communicate information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest level of guest service across internal and external guests.
• Lead staff interviews, discipline, development and scheduling.
• Lead team shift meetings and supervise opening/closing duties.
• Interact with guests to resolve issues and maintain satisfaction.
• Collaborate with supervisors to deliver a pleasurable dining experience.
• Fill in for line staff when needed and demonstrate proactive leadership.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members in a team environment.
• Aim to drive repeat business through memorable dining experiences.
