This role greets and seats guests, manages the flow of the dining room, processes guest transactions accurately, answers guest questions, and supports the overall efficiency of buffet operations.The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, guest-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and a positive attitude.Responsibilities:Greet all guests promptly, warmly, and professionally upon arrival.Manage guest seating and assist with maintaining an efficient flow of the dining room.Communicate wait times and seating availability clearly and courteously.Process guest payments accurately using the point-of-sale system.Handle cash, credit cards, vouchers, comps, and other approved forms of payment in accordance with company procedures.Maintain accurate cash drawer balances and follow all cash-handling policies.Answer guest questions regarding buffet offerings, pricing, hours of operation, promotions, and resort amenities.Assist guests with special requests and communicate needs to supervisors or service staff as appropriate.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, cashier station, menus, and waiting area.Monitor dining room availability and coordinate with servers, bussers, and supervisors to ensure timely seating.Support buffet team members during peak business levels to ensure excellent guest service.Follow all company service standards, safety guidelines, food and beverage policies, and department procedures.Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.Report guest concerns, service issues, or operational needs to management promptly.Perform other duties as assigned to support the Food & Beverage department.Qualifications:Previous guest service, host, cashier, restaurant, buffet, or hospitality experience preferred.Prior cash-handling experience preferred.Ability to provide exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Basic math skills and the ability to handle transactions accurately.Ability to remain calm, friendly, and professional during high-volume periods.Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and varied shifts.Must be able to obtain and maintain any required licenses, certifications, or work cards required by company policy or applicable regulation.Experience using a point-of-sale system.Knowledge of restaurant or buffet operations.Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.Bilingual communication skills are a plus.Familiarity with casino, resort, or high-volume hospitality environments.Work Environment and Physical Requirements:Work is performed in a high-volume restaurant and casino resort environment.Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the shift.Must be able to communicate clearly with guests and team members in a busy environment.May be exposed to varying noise levels and high guest traffic.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.Benefits:Enhanced health, dental, and vision insurance, along with a flexible spending account.Education, tuition, and certification reimbursement up to USD 6,000 per calendar year.Growth opportunities available within department/company.Access the team dining hall with one free hot meal per shift.Company-matched 401k.Paid time off and six observed holidays.Team Member Hotel, Retail, and Spa Discounts.Team Member Anniversary Recognition — earn resort credit, vacation trips and more!Save your gas and mileage on your car!
