Northfield Park Racino is seeking a Buffet Host/Cashier to welcome guests, assist with seating, and handle transactions at the POS while representing the venue with friendly service.

The role requires initiative, excellent English communication, knowledge of safety regulations, and the ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays. Maintain a clean, sanitary work area and deliver guest experiences.

Description

The Buffet Host/Cashier is primarily responsible for representing the brand of the venue while greeting and seating guests and assisting service staff with guest contact and table information. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and policies, practices and procedures.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet guests when they enter the outlet, determine what comps, points or awards guests have and finally complete the payment transaction through the POS system.
• Determine the size of the party and any special needs for seating, work with their team to locate and assist guests to their seating/table.
• Thank guests as they exit the buffet and assist with any final guest needs or questions.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area to include the cashier box, dining room and service stations.

Requirements

Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Education

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent - Required
