Job summary

Mesquite Entertainment is seeking a Cook to prepare a wide range of menu items with a focus on quality and guest service. You will handle frying, broiling, sautéing, grilling, baking, boiling and wok cooking to meet service demands.

All cooks must have food preparation experience, be fluent in English, flexible, and able to work quickly during peak times. Specialty cooks should have at least 1 year in Asian cooking in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation and food service.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Flexible and adaptable; able to move quickly in peak times.
• Good eye/hand coordination; good sense of sight and smell.
• At least 1 year experience in Asian cooking in a high-volume restaurant (non-fast food).

Responsibilities

• Set-up and maintain a clean kitchen and food service areas.
• Prepare raw or cooked food items (fish, poultry, meat, fruits, vegetables, etc.) to standards and serve to guests.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met in assigned work areas.
• Perform other duties as instructed by management.
