Job summary

PENN Entertainment in Biloxi, MS is seeking a dedicated cook to join our high-volume restaurant team. You will prepare meals to established standards, maintain a clean work area, train new cooks, and support service during busy shifts.

The role requires at least two years of full-service restaurant experience, ability to read and follow recipes, perform basic math, and the ability to stand for a full shift. ServSafe Alcohol certification is required.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short memos.
• Able to write simple correspondence and communicate with customers and cast members.
• Ability to perform basic math (rates, ratios, percentages) and interpret data.
• Knowledge of kitchen tools and equipment; able to read/execute recipes.
• Must be able to stand a full shift and lift up to 50 pounds.
• ServSafe Alcohol training certification.

Responsibilities

• Consistently prepares breakfast, lunch, or dinner to standards established by the Executive Chef.
• Ensures that work area is kept clean and orderly.
• Assist in the training of new Cooks.
• Exhibits a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with customers or fellow cast members.
• Any and all duties as assigned by your Manager or a member of management.
• Completes daily checklist and production charts as directed by your supervisor.
